NO SCENES, NO TRENDS, NO BULLSHIT. DEADHEADS.

Helsinki, Finland’s Deadheads is metal with the sheer aggression of hardcore. If Slayer, The Haunted and Nine ever mated, the combination of chromosomes would probably result in Deadheads. This band is not a polished product of modern metal – Deadheads’ music comes from the gut and smells like sweat.

The vocal duties in the band are handled by Henri, who became known as the presenter of Headbanger’s Ball on MTV Finland. Bassist Lede has earned his ranks in Kalmah and End of You fame. Drummer Pekka was the primus motor of Finnish metal outfits Painflow and Zero Industry. Guitarist Toni switched the stoner rock of Dope Tribe Devils to heavier riffs in Deadheads while other guitarist Gabor is Hungary’s gift to Finnish metal. The average age in the band is 29, and every band member has been playing metal since their teens. We’re not talking rookies here.

Deadheads has been active for two years. With the exception of one gig in Helsinki (which, judging by broken property at the venue, was a huge success) the band has been perfecting their delivery at the rehearsal space in Helsinki. Since there’s been no rush anywhere, we decided to let the world know of us when we’re completely ready.

Time has come. All the pieces are in place and for that we have proof in the form of this three song promo cd. We stand proudly behind our material. Deadheads delivers in-your-face metal fast, mid-tempo as well as slow and heavy.

Do not question the width of the material. We have a half hour live set that will scrape the paint off the walls at any venue. Deadheads is nothing short of convincing live. The experience of the musicians shines through in their stage presence and the pure aggression that Deadheads lays down sweeps over the audience like a tsunami.

Putting your money on Deadheads will not be a regrettable choice. For us, the most important thing is to show people who wears the pants in today’s metal! For that we’re ready to work our asses off.

In short: We want to get our music out there and play as many gigs as possible! If (and when) you can help us with either one, or maybe both, do not hesitate to contact us.
